broken taillights

 2 entries in and I've already—but knowing myself, I'm unsurprised. Some general life updates:

• Katsucon crunch nearly ended me. Super stressful, but I shouldn't expect less from the most stressful con I go to. But it was all worth it in the end!
• Zenkaikon is rapidly approaching in less than 2 weeks, but fortunately I don't have much to do. I just need to make some minor repairs to Lyney's outfit and touch up his wig, Keith's wig, and Catra's wig. Should also order more contacts and check on Catra's colored contacts.
• I ADOPTED A DOG! His name is Bonsai or Bond for short, and he's been occupying much of my time and energy. We had to deep clean the entire house and rearrange the furniture since he's a Big Boy, set up vet appointments, get used to his walk and food schedule...it's been a lot, especially since I work from home so I'm with him 24/7. Today he went to doggy daycare for the first time, so I got a little time to myself. 
• We finally sat down to properly watch Supernatural after all this time. I'd seen a few episodes here and there in like 2013-2014 because I kept seeing it around on Tumblr, but it's nice to actually watch it, and despite me getting scared really easily, I'm enjoying it.

All of that's been a lot, but I've found some time for myself in all of it. Finally got back to watching Voltron: Legendary Defender and making some real progress. Yesterday, I watched the Sheith fight in S6E5 and that did genuinely change my brain chemistry and haven't stopped thinking about them since. The Levi/Furlan ship has also been living in my brain rent-free and making me feral.

So in actual writing news, I've been working on some pre-ACWNR Levi/Furlan porn with feelings. Thinking a 5+1 where it's 5 times Levi has sex because he feels like he has to, + 1 time he has sex because he really wants to. I just believe in my heart Levi had his first time with Furlan and I want to explore that as many times and in as many ways as I can. 

Sheith are always rattling around in my brain but I don't know if I can do writing them justice. Not yet, at least. Maybe I'll start with a drabble or something and see how that feels. And speaking of drabbles, the first prompt for the #ficwip months drabbles is 'forgotten love' so I think I want to get a Revalink or Eruri something out for that this week. 

Oh right, I have a Dreamwidth!

I realized I've lowkey forgotten I have this except for once or twice a year when I do a prompt event, but I really should use it more often. And I've made a New Year's resolution to actually finish at least 2 WIPs that I've left rotting, so I thought I could tie that in with a new resolution: to use this blog, at least weekly, to yap about my fics and my progress.

So here's what I'd really like to focus on this year:

• and stars may collide, my Eruri Moulin Rouge AU. It's fully outlined and mapped out, pieces at the end have been written, and my muse for it is still high despite not being able to write a ton—and it's been a very long time since I finished a fic longer than like 8k. I'm having fun writing it and I would be really proud to finish it in 2026.
• you were the song stuck in my head (every song that i've ever loved), my timeskip UshiSemi fic. I just adore this rarepair so so much and think they deserve to get an end to this fic. I just need to finish writing the smut and close it out.
• bound for i don't know where, which was my fic for the Haikyuu Maritime Bang. This one is a lot more loosely plotted out, with big gaps and only vague ideas, but I do love mischief on the high seas and feel like it would be a good fun balance to the other two on this list. I'd like to get at least 1 chapter posted for it.

Of course, I have many many more WIPs slowly decaying in Scrivener. But that's all right! I think these are some realistic, achievable goals for the year, and they're works that all mean a lot to me in some way or another so I think the muse is high. Wish me luck!
